 * I am more than happy to have your reply and my problem is resolved.
 * I was already using the latest version of PHP as you mentioned and I am not using
   Lite Speed cache or Object cache pro as well.
 * My problem is solved by disabling a Bluehost MU Cache (Cache Level=0). Maybe 
   that plugin was creating a conflict with wp super cache plugin.
