    Thx Moshu,

I contacted my host and they turned the php service on, then I went into my host domain and set up a test database using mysql, and I then entered the dbname, username, and password that was generated when I tmade the new database.. put this info into the /wp-config and I got the admin / password page for Word press.

All good.. have been checking out all the different thems out there…
but I’m still unsure on the way you can use WP .. ie whether I can/should build a complete full ‘web site’ using WP only, e.g. how do you create dropdown menus to navigation.. things like this.. but i’m sure I’ll find the answers in the design parts of this forum.. so anyone out there (beginner that is) reading this post.. setting up your database on the host domain is required.. and as I had never done this before.. I was unsure of the wording in the 5 minute setup… so contact your host and make sure they turn on or have php- (a database)

    Ciao

    Thx for the quick reply.

I did put in “mydomain/wp-admin/install.php” and below is what I see… so I guess I need to speak with my host then as you say?

    Best regards,
    Syco
