 * Can you offer any advice regarding how to switch to the default theme without
   doing so via the WordPress dashboard? Since I cannot login to the dashboard that
   is not an option. Is it possible to switch the theme via FTP?
 * Thank you very much for your assistance!

 * I was able to do the manual update. Now, in attempting to login I get the message:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/63/8580763/
   html/wp-content/themes/evolve/library/functions/options.php on line 1
 * Any idea what I can try now? related to the ‘options.php’ file?

 * It is WordPress 3.4.2 . . . I see that there is an update available. Might that
   make a difference?

 * I have found a way to determine where line 990 is in the ‘user.php’ file but
   cannot determine where the syntax error is or how to fix it.
 * Any suggestions?
