Hey there @chrislt, can you share a link to the affected site so we can see what you’re seeing?

In reply to: [Seedlet] Finding the CSS governing the mobile menu?Hi! Using inspect element, it looks like most of it is coming from /assets/css/style-navigation.css — can you check to see if that’s what you need?

In reply to: [Shoreditch] “Display author” does nothingHi @bixfrankonis, I see the author at the bottom of that post near “Published By” — were you able to sort out what caused that?

In reply to: [Shoreditch] Pointers re: CSS on navigation menu (2 issues)Hey @bixfrankonis, thanks for your patience here!
Re: the Menu button staying black after you click on it, I found the culprit:
button:focus, input[type=button]:focus, input[type=reset]:focus, input[type=submit]:focus, button:hover, input[type=button]:hover, input[type=reset]:hover, input[type=submit]:hover { background: #2c313f; outline: none; }
So any button changes to black/dark grey when it’s being hovered or focused. And when you tap to close the Menu, it’s still in focus until you tap on something else.
Something like this that targets the toggle could work, though:
button.toggled-on { background-color: #2c313f; } button.menu-toggle { background-color: #3e69dc; }
Want to try adding that?

In reply to: [Shoreditch] Remove search and bar from shoreditch themeHey there @gelegirl, the “uncategorized” thing is coming from a widget that’s displaying a list of your categories. You can address this in a few ways:
- You can go to Widgets and replace that with something else, or remove it altogether
- If you’ll be sharing articles and want categories listed, you can publish more posts and manage your categories so the list shows what you’d like

In reply to: [Pique] Pique Title – Words BreakHi @roggerortiz, I understand that can be frustrating! Usually it happens if you’re using longer words with a bigger font on a smaller screen. Sometimes you’ll see issues if you’ve got big margins or columns that aren’t collapsing, too.
There are several ways to go about fixing it, depending on the specific instance where it’s happening and your design preferences with that. So you could choose to shrink the header fonts on smaller screens, for example. Several newer themes do that automatically. Or you can shrink margins, or collapse columns, or just allow right-side scrolling / cut off even if the case warrants that.
I’d recommend using “Inspect Element” to examine how the site looks and experiment with different options (shrinking fonts, etc). If you need help, let us know which section you’re hoping to fix and how you’d like to change the design to accommodate. We can point you to resources.
Also: I noticed your site is hosted at WordPress.com. Feel free to reach out to support there if you’d like!

In reply to: [Rebalance] Ads not displaying properlyHi @ym1984, it depends on whether you are enrolled in WordAds or not; if you are there’s a setting in your dash for that.
Meanwhile, I’ve talked to our theme team and they’ve fixed it so ads won’t appear on the front page with this theme. Cheers!

In reply to: [Rebalance] Ads not displaying properlyHey there @ym1984 — that does look off. The theme’s use of absolute positioning to create the masonry layout is conflicting with the ads positioning, but I don’t see a simple way to address it.
Can you opt out of showing ads on the front/archive pages?

In reply to: [Orvis] Product amount shows in whiteHi @mer, here’s the offending CSS:
body, button, input, select, textarea { color: #fff; font-family: Karla, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; }
It looks like it’s making a lot of things white that won’t work with your white background, honestly. If it were my site I’d consider countering the white with this CSS:
body, input, select, textarea { color: #7a7a7a; }
I left Button out since those have different background colors. You could take out other selectors too.
Or, if you want to specifically targets inputs only, and only within Woo, use this:
.woocommerce input { color: #7a7a7a; }
Hoping this helps!

In reply to: [Loudness] Header width changedAh okay. Did you need to add CSS to fix it? I wasn’t able to spot the issue on theme demo, so I’m curious about the cause.
I don’t get it and can’t find a way to change it.
Hmm, it’s hard to tell, honestly. Might be some setting in the columns somewhere.
Are they aligned correctly in the site editor, just not on the live site?

In reply to: [Loudness] Header width changedHey there, were you already able to resolve this? I’m seeing consistent header widths across those pages currently.

In reply to: [Blockbase] Pagination seems broken on PostsHey there, I can’t duplicate this. I’ve added a page break block to a post, and the pagination appears and works correctly. I’m also using this on my test site, without other plugins:
WP: 6.3.2
BlockBase: 3.1.16
Gutenberg: 16.8.1Could you use Health Check to see whether other themes are affected? And if they are not, could you check for any modifications to your Single post template and related template parts?

In reply to: [Blockbase] Excerpt Block Settings MissingAh! Thanks, I do see that now on the individual page template. I see the same thing regardless of which theme I’m using. I am guessing that’s a design decision for the block itself: perhaps because you’re already on the page that contains that excerpt, truncating the excerpt may not make sense?
