I think the DB username that is used in wp-config.php doesn’t have access to create tables in the DB.

I think for some reason the database and code got out of sync. One way this could have happened is if the wp_email_log table was deleted after it got created by the plugin.
Try these steps to fix it.
– Deactivate the plugin
– In the wp_options table, delete the row that contains the option_nameemail-log-db
.
– Reactivate it again
– See if the table is createdHello @toddlevy
I check with Contact Forms 7 plugin and it is working for us without any issues.
Are there any other plugins that you are using that are triggered emails?

If the email is getting logged properly, then there are no issues with our plugin.
I think there is some problem in the way the emails are getting delivered. How is your web server configured to send emails? Are you using any 3rd party services or the default SMTP server?

I think for some reason the wp_email_log table that the plugin creates may have gotten deleted.
Try these steps.
– Deactivate the plugin
– Reactivate it again
– See if the table is createdIf the table is still not created, check if the mysql user has permission to create tables in your database.

We collect the email sent status from WordPress. In your installation WordPress still thinks that the email was sent succesfully.

First of all apologies for the issue that you are facing with the plugin. Hope you had a backup from where you were able to restore the users. If you need any assistance in restoring the users back, then do let us know.
Second I would like to get to the bottom of it so that if there are any bugs in our code (or ambiguity in the documentation) we could fix it. So please give me more details about the following.
– Which module did you use to delete the users

Sorry for the issue that you are facing.
It looks like the code that is sending the email is getting called very early in the request.
Please let us know what plugin you are using to setup the contact form.
Also I am assuming you are not using any of our add-ons. Is that correct?

Right now it is not possible to push additional entires into the email log directly from the code.
But the log entires are stored in the DB in a seperate table. You can write code to directly add rows to this table.
