In reply to: CSS Vertical Align with Category IconsHi
put this in your style.css :
.myicons { float: left; padding:10px 0 0 0px; font-size:18px; font-family:Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-weight:normal; margin:-7px 6px 0 0; background: none no-repeat; }
and this in your index.php right before the h1 tag :
<div class="myicons"><?php get_cat_icon('link=false'); ?></div>

In reply to: [Plugin: Category Icons] WP 2.8 incompatibilityyou need to see the image in order to see it on your blog. If you can’t see the image via the admin interface, make sure you have uploaded the image in the right folder, or check the permissions on the files or the folder.
Then, once you are able to see the image, go to Template tags to see where to add the get_cat_icon() function in your theme pages.

In reply to: [Plugin: Category Icons] WP 2.8 incompatibilityOMG. I tried everything : I can’t reproduce the bug you described. I’m on Mac OS X Leopard, I have the latest version of Safari (4.0.1) and Firefox (3.0.11) and Firebug, with which I’m working to see if there are errors somewhere. Could you send me a mail in order to send you a beta version of the plugin (2.1) ? Use the contact form on my website, please :

In reply to: [Plugin: Category Icons] WP 2.8 incompatibilityYou mean that if you deactivate the plugin, the tags are OK, but when you activate Category Icons, you can’t play with the tags ?
That’s weird : it’s working for me. (with the plugin activated or not, the tags are displayed in the posts, and I can add them in the admin panel)
Try to deactivate ALL the plugins, then activate them one by one.

In reply to: Category wp listYou can do that with the Category Icons plugin. Here is a good start :

In reply to: Using Category Icons within PostsOnce again : you are free to put the images/icons wherever you want, as the plugin only suggests you where to put the icons, for the beginners. Just put the get_cat_icons() function where you want in your template file, and if necessary, apply some css to the icons/images by using the class parameter.

I’m trying to keep the compatibility with prior versions of WordPress, but it’s becoming harder… I think I’ll stop to maintain the retro-compatibility with the version 3.0 of WordPress to make the plugin lighter & simpler to maintain…
