 * I’m having the same issue now with at least a dozen clients’ sites, on different
   webhosts from godaddy managed wordpress, to dreamhost, hostgator etc.
 * All the sites are running the latest WP core and the latest Wordfence, and i’ve
   tried all the fixes noted above, deleting rules.php, deleting and re-installing
   Wordfence etc, and no luck at all with any of them.

 * yes, that’s exactly the same error i’m getting on all my clients sites. so far
   i’ve had to disable it on about 20 sites 🙁

   in /wp-includes/general-template.php:2624) in //wp-content/plugins/wp-ban/wp-
   ban.php on line 249
