    I did the same on my page..
 * What I did is using wp only as a backend. I wrote my own frontend. In your page,
   you want only to show your latest news, right? You retrieve the latest post from
   wp’s database, and echo it to the webpage.
 * You can also show latest posts, etc. Not only one post.
