 * I’ve looked and I can’t see a folder higher than the one I put it in, and there
   is no public folder.

 * I am just using FileZilla to FTP wordpress to the server.

 * I deleted the cache, no change.
 * I *think* I installed wordpress in the root. I didn’t install the wordpress folder
   just the contents of the folder and installed it the only place there was on 
   the server. I don’t have anything else on the server so I don’t think I could
   put it anywhere but the root. I could be wrong though.

 * Yes, I still have the index.php file. I just deleted it on my server, then thought
   that was a bad idea so I uploaded the original file again.

 * 48 hrs, ah no I am not that patient, didn’t know it would take that long… I switched
   over the domain about 7 hrs ago.
