   right, it’s just confusing that when someone unchecks the box (as we’ve noticed
   through our tests the box is already checked when they arrive at the checkout
   page) they still appear on the mailing list but as unsubscribed, when they didn’t
   even unsubscribe. Surely it would make more sense if the customer didn’t appear
   at all on the mailing list to save us the time of trying to work out why that
   person unsubscribed, when they didn’t even subscribe at all?
