I just tested it and it works with 3.5.1. Once timer is up I will change password. * Anyhow removing excerpt is fine. But I still have my site title overly saturating the post. You have the post title, the posted by title and then its name of blog post >> title. That’s serious over kill. So only way to stop that is to turn api mode back off. Then I load the except all together on my pages wall. Turning that back on adds the site title right at the top like I typed it there. First I think are built into Nextgen if I remember right. I am not looking at my site to confirm. I personally run a custom Fancybox2 plugin I toss together based on the Fancybox2 framework.
