In reply to: URGENT – Help with WordPress header and sidebar problemHi, I’ve just looked at your website and all looks fine to me, I for example don’t see the oversized sidebar that you mentioned. Do you still see the weird version?

In reply to: How to edit my home page of the inserted template in wordpressDo I understand you correctly that you want to add stuff like text and pictures to your homepage? (‘edit content of my homepage’).
If this is your question, go to pages –> new page –> fill in the writing box what you want –> view it and publish it when you’re happy. Then set this page as your homepage in ‘settings’. If you’re new to wordpress, there’s a great ‘documentation’ section right here https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page. It’ll tell you everything you need to know on basic wordpress use.

In reply to: [Advantage] Customize header CSSHi!
Thanks for the quick reply.
My website is http://www.kavel10.nl. As you can see, the top header is blue now.
As I couldn’t find any code to alter, I tried designing the header myself and uploading the image into the header. This looks awful because the image (no matter how small/big the original was) will only show between the home button and the search field, so there will be lots of blue bits left in the header. I can’t change the remaining blue into white or make it disappear in any other way without meddling with the code I think.I looked at creating a child theme (http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) and putting the header code in there, but as the original theme doesn’t have an HTML element #header, as you say, I’m not sure what good that would do.
It seems silly that a super-easy header with a white background and one image would create such a fuss. Do you have any tips?
Thanks a million!

In reply to: Landing page/copying of websiteSee the website: I made a landing page (static front page) with the two clickable logos, then a ‘home page’ (static) for each location separately. Then, I made dropdown menus in the upper right hand corner per location, so that both ‘websites’ are easily accessible and can still have multiple pages themselves. The news parts are separated via blog post categories. If you have any more specific questions, I’ll be happy to answer them

In reply to: Landing page/copying of websiteThanks for your quick reply. Then I guess I could remove links from the Amsterdam to the Groningen website and vice versa. Only problem is that news would probably show up at both websites at once, would need to fix that also. This is definitely an option, so thanks very much for posting. If anyone reading this has other suggestions, I’d still be happy to hear about them!
