In reply to: [Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE)] Warning message when opening customizer@elonreynolds @qriouslad I guess I should’ve updated before I sent the last message. After updating to ver 6.5.1, clearing the cache and viewing the customizer again, I am still getting the error when the Hide Admin Notices is turned on. https://app.screencast.com/6EAJARxUkDSGE
Also tried in Firefox, just to be sure it wasn’t a caching issue.

In reply to: [Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE)] Warning message when opening customizerHere are the settings I’m using. If I didn’t screenshot a page it’s because I don’t have any of those settings activated.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] Not retrieving new reviewsI did not know there was cache clearing for the plugin – that did it! Thanks so much.

In reply to: [Reviews and Rating – Google Reviews] Not retrieving new reviewsThanks, the HTML import worked, so it’s displaying the new reviews now. Still weird though because the back-end tab for reviews says “44”, but the front end still says “35” and I have the new ones. For the HTML import I selected “only import original” and “import empty reviews”. I did change the settings to “retrieve new reviews only” and “synchronize daily,” (I only had it hourly for troubleshooting).
This is the shortcode I’m using: [reviews_rating icon=”false” name=”false” vicinity=”false” date=relative limit=6 view=3 loop=-1 interval=10 excerpt=250]
It seems to be fine though, just wanted to give you that add’l information about my settings in case there was something else I need to change.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or Shipping@anastas10s That’s all well and good, but I opened this ticket 2 months and 3 weeks ago, at what point was it a known bug and why weren’t we informed of this as soon as it became evident?
@jbd4jc Thanks for pushing this to the forefront again and making things happen. I appreciate you!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or ShippingWow. I am absolutely furious that this is a known bug. @jbd4jc and I, and I’m sure numerous others have been spending hours trying to fix this problem. First, why did it take this much time and back and forth for someone to identify that it is a known bug? And second if the fix involves just dropping back to a previous version of square, why not just do that for everyone instead of letting some of us flounder?
We’re trying to run a business here! Really disgusted.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or Shipping@jbd4jc Good Idea. Here are my active plugins, including the MU plugins. I see there is something there from Elegant themes which is no longer in use. Will have to contact WPEngine about removing that.
Looks like we are both using Astra, but I’m using Beaver Builder, you’re using ELementor. Here’s what I saw in common, but double check behind me, the list made me cross-eyed!
Jetpack: by Automattic – 11.4
WooCommerce Shipping & Tax: by WooCommerce
WooCommerce Square: by WooCommerce – 3.2.0I turned off everything in Jetpack, so I don’t think that’s it, but it’s likely it’s one of the other two. DOn’t know if I’ll get to troubleshooting this today, so let me know if you find something else out.
Thanks for sticking with this with me!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or Shipping@xue28 It appears that the state field is required if a person is logged in, but if they are not logged in, it isn’t required.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or Shipping@jbd4jc UGH! Thanks for checking for me, though! It worked for me when I tested, and my clients said it did too. Crazy. So I guess this ticket is still open! Any suggestions??

I opened a support request directly through Square, not through the forums.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or Shipping@jbd4jc Never got an answer to the support request from them. It eventually started working. I think one problem might have been a conflict with Astra when I chose to not have the labels above the form entry boxes. So when I went back to the legacy where it said State above the field, it seemed to work. It was just one of those crazy problems that made no sense whatsoever!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] State not Required for Billing or ShippingWell! I did all of this, and tested at every change and finally revealed that the problem is with Square! I don’t know how or why that is, but I’ve opened a ticket with them. It’s so strange because the field is marked with an *, as are other fields. If I don’t fill in another required field, the transaction won’t go through, but if I leave the state blank, the transaction goes through.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction… I’m not going to mark this as resolved until I get an answer from Square and then I will update here for others.
