We followed your instructions to add the guard around the sanitizer, but wanted to note that the file path you provided (`/inc/Shortcode_Element.php`) does not exist in the current plugin version. * In our installation, the correct file was located at: `/inc/admin/element-classes/ elements/shortcode-element.php` * We implemented the guard there, and it did stop the original `DOMDocument::loadHTML()` fatal error on PHP 8.0. However, after applying the change, we were no longer able to access WP Table Builder in WP Admin — it displayed “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” * We’ve since reverted the file to its original version, and the admin access issue disappeared immediately. So while the proposed guard fixes the fatal error itself, it appears to introduce a secondary issue in the current version of the plugin. * Would you be able to review this behavior and confirm the correct placement or logic for the guard? We have no intention of buying another domain name to suit the needs of the developers of The Events Calendar. * Yoast seems to handle dev or staging sites just fine by having them acknowledged as such. * We have always used dev.(domain) or staging.(domain) sub-domains for this purpose…. AND…we additionally set the option in settings that search engines are disallowed from indexing the site. * I mean…what business has a live website at dev.(domain) or staging.(domain) This solution of buying another domain is useless and doesn’t even make sense…especially when other developers seem to have simpler solutions. * Sorry…have to agree to disagree on this solution. Basically, a GROUP was not created. I’ve never had to manually create a group before with this plugin so this was certainly new. * I came across this when I tried to enter a Redirect manually and got an error for an invalid group. * The solution came in this thread. * [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-invalid-group-when-creating-redirect/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-invalid-group-when-creating-redirect/) * Once the Group was created, the HTACCESS upload went over smoothly and the “Import To” had the group. * While this is great to find a solution, considering we’ve been using this plugin for years, I can’t help but wonder why did this GROUP issue come up to begin with. * FYI in case this helps others.
