 * [@r2lorenzo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/r2lorenzo/) – why do you give
a 5 star rating when you probably meant to give 1 star.

 * I would prefer for Divi to give WordPress the flick and become an independent
website builder in its own right.

 * There is no need for a new editor with page design capability, because the concept
of WordPress is to strictly separate CONTENT from DESIGN/LAYOUT.
 * Therefore, the themes with various degrees of layout and design capabilities
and the page builders were created to turn CONTENT entered at the front end into
a DESIGN/LAYOUT set up at the backend by the themes and/or page builders.
 * Gutenberg is just disturbing this concept. I am using Divi and lots of us have
been waiting for their Theme builder to be released, which is catching up to
other page builders in that regard. It is supposed to enable us to create page
and post template layouts in Divi – but now it seems that Gutenberg templates
are starting to become the new kid on the block – in direct contrast to this
concept of page builders using their superior power to create these templates.
This is just in direct competition to all page builders that are WAY more advanced.
It’s not the job of a front-end content editor to design and layout a page or
   post.
 * This is all going into the WRONG direction and has not been thought through.

 * Well, you asked me for the THEME, not my website address (not going to add here
publicly, though as the site is still in development).
 * Also, you are putting the onus straight back to me and the theme author…that
may be convenient but not helping.
 * I will pass and look for another plugin that works out of the box on my site.
   Thanks for chiming in, anyway.

 * OK, it seems that new version is not available yet. Probably has to pass WordPress.
   org checking process…

 * I can’t see version 1.0.1 in the repository yet. Will I be prompted in my WP
dashboard when the new version will be available, so that I can update from there?
What happens to my customizations if I re-upload the new version manually, once
   it is available?

 * Hey [@arpowers](https://wordpress.org/support/users/arpowers/). Shouldn’t the
question rather be: “Why do updates cause the design to be wiped out?” If Pagelines
has many built in features that are not separate to the core elements, then why
is that so? Do you work with childthemes or plan on implementing a childtheme
approach (where these can still be customized in a drag-and-drop fashion)?

 * I’ve seen some LIKE buttons in the meantime that do have similar features to
the SHARE button (i.e. a pop up window allows you to enter a personalized intro),
but others would simply mark the LIKE button as ‘liked’ (by being grayed out
   after clicking)!
 * How would a website visitor be able to tell the difference?
    Not everyone likes
to hit ‘like’ not knowing whether or not they will be given the opportunity to
add an intro, or wondering what exactly will be posted on their timeline for
   all to see.
 * Anybody knows the latest re: the FB Share button / FB’s position on this?

 * I’ve done some further digging…I read someone’s statement that the LIKE button
had “the same” functionality as the SHARE button…which confused me, since I always
knew Sharing as opposed to Liking allows for a personalized intro before submitting.
 * Yet I only just learned there are two different versions of LIKE buttons, one
in the iframe format, and the other in the XFBML format.
 * I had actually seen the choice in the Digg Digg plugin, but somehow chosen iframe…
probably because XFBML reminded me of the deprecated FBML part of Facebook tabs
   🙂
 * Anyhow…here is a good explanation and I just tested the XFBML version of the
Like button in Digg Digg…it indeed is “the same” as the SHARE button functionality
in terms of allowing to add a personalized intro before submitting the ‘like’–
something I had not come across on any website before!

 * “the officially supported Like Button (which has the same features)”
    “Since
the Like button has the same functionality as the deprecated Share button, “
 * —> How is the SHARE functionality “the same” as the LIKE?
    SHARING allows to
add a personalized intro before sharing, while LIKING or REOMMENDING is just
a one-click action without seeing what you share prior to submitting and then
checking out on your FB timeline.
