In reply to: [WooCommerce] Error thrown Call to a member function needs_shipping() on nullHi Alan,
These kinds of errors are usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
The best way to determine this is to:* Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront.
* Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.
* Repeat the action that is causing the problem.If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.
You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts
I’d also recommend using Health Check & Troubleshooting as a way to perform the conflict test. This plugin will enable you to deactivate your plugins in “troubleshooting mode”, without actually affecting your live site. You can find more details on the process involved here:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Filter by attributes is not displaying all the attribuesHi there,
I wasn’t able to replicate an issue with the widget on my own test site and also haven’t been able to find any recent reports that are similar to yours. It’d, therefore, be helpful to gain some more details about your site to troubleshoot further.
Firstly, it will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the
WooCommerce / Status
section of your site. Once there, click on theGet system report
button and then copy it by clicking on theCopy for support
button. Then paste it here in a comment.Next, could you also provide us with a screenshot of your widget’s settings and also further details on the specific attributes that are missing?
If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few options:
* https://snipboard.io
* http://skitch.com/
* http://getcloudapp.com/
* http://awesomescreenshot.com/There is also a walkthrough guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
We’ll see how we’re able to troubleshoot further with those extra details.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] woocommerce_json_search_found_products ad sort orderHi Peter,
Are you trying to change the order that products display on your site’s shop page? If so, the
woocommerce_default_catalog_orderby
filter would enable you to change that default ordering. You can find further details on that filter in the following docs:* https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/custom-sorting-options-ascdesc/
* https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/classes/wp_query/#order-orderby-parametersNote, we don’t officially provide more hands-on support for custom code. Although we’re happy to hear your questions and see if we can point you in the right direction, we may need to point to our our WooCommerce Customizations page for recommendations on professionals who can provide more hands-on support.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] product page as front pageHi there, would you be able to confirm the name of the theme you’re using as well as the URL where we can view your site?
For help customizing or setting up a theme, we’d generally need to guide you to the theme’s support team. If you can confirm which theme you’re using, we’ll see if we can point you in the right directtion.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product page shows blank pageHi there,
I see the following JavaScript errors in my browser’s console when inspectitng your site’s product page:
DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://vladalexandrescu.com/wp-content/plugins/learndash-course-grid/assets/css/custom.css.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://vladalexandrescu.com/wp-content/themes/Divi/js/custom.unified.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://vladalexandrescu.com/wp-content/themes/Divi/includes/builder/scripts/cpt-modules-wrapper.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE
The above errors indicate that something is preventing your site from loading the required code for that page.
I haven’t been able to replicate what you’re seeing with Twenty Twenty-One and only WooCommerce active, so conflict testing would be my first suggestion. Issues like the one you’re seeing are usually caused by code from a plugin or theme causing a conflict.
If you’ve already performed a full conflict test, my next suggestion would be to contact your site’s host to see if there are any settings or optimizations in place on their side that may impact how JavaScript files load on your site.
If your host isn’t aware of any issues that could cause this, I’d also suggest asking them to help you set up a brand new staging site, with only WooCommerce and a default theme active. You could then see if the issue can be replicated on the staging site.
Let us know how you get on with that.
Thank you for the follow-up and he clarification of the issue! I had been testing on the front end of my site, rather than by manually updating an existing order. I’ve been able to replicate the issue you described after seeing your screencast and have created a bug report for our team here:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/28591
Although I can’t guarantee a timeframe for when this will be looked into, it’s now on our team’s radar and you can follow along at the above link for any updates.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Increase Product Title limitIf you’re trying to set the number of lines to a maximum of two, you could possibly experiment with the
max-lines
CSS property. You can find more details on that property here:https://css-tricks.com/max-lines/
As I touched on, we don’t officially provide more hands-on support with customizations like you’re requesting. I’d encourage you to consider hiring a professional if you’re in need of additional support.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Increase Product Title limitHi there,
The titles are being hidden via the theme’s CSS. You could override that CSS by adding the following snippet to your site:
ul.products li.product-col .woocommerce-loop-product__title { overflow: inherit; white-space: inherit; }
You can add the above custom CSS via Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS in your site’s admin area.
Note, we don’t officially provide support for custom CSS. Snippets, like I’ve provided, are quick fixes that haven’t been thoroughly tested against different devices or browsers. As I’m not familiar with your custom theme, I can’t guarantee that the code won’t impact other elements on your site. If you use the snippet, please do some more thorough testing to ensure it doesn’t have any unwanted impact on other parts of your site’s design.
As you’re working with a custom theme, I’d recommend contacting the theme’s author directly for any further help with customizations like these. We also have some recommendations for professionals who specialize in help with WooCommerce-related customizations here:
https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
Hope that’s helpful!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Failed critical ErrorHi @johndeese,
The “failed to open stream” error can be triggered by a variety of different issues, all of which result from WordPress being unable to load the files. The following article dives a bit more into that and outlines ways to go about fixing the error:

Hi there,
You could use a plugin such as the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin. The Health Check plugin allows you to enable “troubleshooting mode” on your site. While in troubleshooting mode, you’ll be able to load your site without any active plugins (this won’t affect the live site). You’d then be able to activate them one-by-one, to see if you can determine any causing an issue.
You can find extra guidance on using this here:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/
Take a look and don’t hesitate to let us know if extra questions come up.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] REST APIHi Johnny,
We have some general guidelines for troubleshooting IPN issues here, which is a good starting point:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] torefront megamenu does not save changesHi @javierlinares,
We haven’t received any other similar reports to yours recently or been able to replicate the issue you described.
As conflict testing hasn’t helped us to pinpoint the issue, I suggest going through the following steps here to test whether there are any JavaScript errors in your browser’s console:
While searching our system for similar reports to yours, I found that you wrote into us directly via email recently. As this is a premium extension and we’re likely going to need to some deeper troubleshooting here, I’ll go ahead to mark this forum post as resolved. We’ll continue supporting you via email.
