 * My friend did the same thing and it worked fine. Until I go live, and remove
   the old site, I just need to be able to have my wordpress point to the worpress
   pages so I can work on them.
 * If I create the wordpress in a sub directory, can I move it back to the main
   page with all the content once I am finished creating it and ready to delete
   the old site?

 * No, the old site files are still there. (need to keep it live while I work on
   the new one)
 * I did the 5 minute install.
 * This isn’t an html vs php problem either, I don’t think. When I type in my site’s
   address with the direct like to index.php , it still sends me to the current
   site.
