 * I need to change the box size of the left column to be 500, so total page width
   is 750px which includes the right column.

 * I posted the link to the wordpress theme with the hope whoever is responding 
   can download the theme and tell me how to change the width for the left column
   box.
 * I don’t think knowing the site is relevant.
