 * Thanks for the info. I had the same problem and now I’ve fixed following the 
   tip of CharlyLeetham. Hope developer will fix it in the next revision

 * Thank you for the advice.
    I spotted the problem: is WassUp Real Time Analytics
   plugin. If I deactivate it, pop-up works.

 * I don’t use plugins for the popups.
    I’m referring to popups showed, for example,
   when you click on the title of a plugin in the add-plugin windows of wordpress.
   Try to yourself: in the Admin backend ->> Plugin -> Add Plugin try to click on
   the name of a plugin: window fades to grey and then a pop-up must appear with
   the plugin description: in my website the main windows becomes gray (fades) but
   pop-up window is not showed, then I must click “ESC” button on keyboard to turn
   window active again.
