 * Actually, if I can really be greedy, I would like the output to be TITLE – EXCERPT,
   like

 * Zymeth25, thank you. I have spent hours trying to figure that out, and it worked
   fine. If I can be greedy and ask another question. As you note the space after
   the title is the same as the space after the excerpt. I would llke the to more
   the excerpt up, so that the excerpt starts on a new line, but no space between
   the title and the excerpt.

 * Thanks, can someone explain how to do that? BTW, and it doesn’t matter, but didn’t
   have this issue with the older version of the glossary plugin.

 * I would like to remove the posts from the custom home page template, and replace
   it with additional text, rather than posts, but I can’t figure out how to do 
   that.

 * Thanks all, I figured it out. i didn’t appreciate the difference between a slider
   and a header. I was using a header, which appears on all pages. Changed it all
   to a slider, followed the directions, and it works.
