 * I think I am having a similar problem. Images load fine on my primary domain,
but on my other domains, the WordPress generated links come up 404. I determined
that the images are still on the server, but instead of linking to [http://playground.theshrinkingmanproject.com/files/2012/08/swimming_cat_Bengal_600x600.jpg](http://playground.theshrinkingmanproject.com/files/2012/08/swimming_cat_Bengal_600x600.jpg)
I have to link to [http://playground.theshrinkingmanproject.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/2012/08/swimming_cat_Bengal_600x600.jpg](http://playground.theshrinkingmanproject.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/2012/08/swimming_cat_Bengal_600x600.jpg)
 * It isn’t determining the correct blog directory from the subdomain like it used
   to.
 * This spark a solution with anyone?

 * I just noticed this one, too. Links too all images on my sub-domains are broken.
I’ve been digging at it for a while and I just noticed that links on my primary
domain now contain wp-content/blogs.dir/1/ in the path. If I inject that into
the path of my links for my subdomains, but correct the number for the blog,
I can access my images. So at least they are there. But that still doesn’t cure
several media libraries full of broken links.
 * How did this not get noticed in testing?

 * Now 2.0.11 is out. Is it compatible with WordPress Multi-User installations?
 * Do I have to update and find out if it blows up all of my sites in order to find
   out?

 * Have you considered implementing shortcodes as a way to provide compatibility
with Thesis and other similar themes that don’t work in a typical manner?
 * Just wondering, as this seems to have been a problem for several years now.

 * Are shortcodes a possibility? I’m using Thesis, and there are issues with getting
my theme and the calendar to show up on the same page. If I could take a regular
page and add shortcodes instead to display the calendar content, that would be
a solution for those of us who don’t have the knowledge to recode the theme and
plugin to make them work together.

 * Thanks! That did it. I can now verify my podcast files without getting 403 errors.
Glad to see someone built in a simple “off switch”. I imagine if I’d gone searching
through htaccess documentation, it would have taken me quite a while to think
to look for something to turn off inheritance.

 * I also encountered this problem after installing and activating BulletProof security.
I don’t think it is a plug-in issue. I think it is a .htcaccess issue that somehow
prevents the Set Featured Image functions from loading. Unfortunately, this is
beyond my ability to troubleshoot. Can anyone help.?

 * You can do the update manually, but I agree that it is ridiculous to have an
upgrade button that has privilege errors.

 * I haven’t been getting 500 errors, but when I enable All-in-One Event Calendar,
my blog’s regular RSS feed won’t validate anymore. I get time-out errors. I turn
Event Calendar off, no more time-out errors.
 * Why is a calendar plugin messing with the blog RSS feed?
