thank you again, i spoke to the supervisors at Bluehost this am and they fixed the issue, apparently the person I spoke to last night just was wrong, now the site comes up under the url sbafarmscollective.org. , everything seems to be there so now i can start on the activating the MU aspects of the site. I appreciate your help. Gonna try to work on this over the afternoon and see what happens. again your help is invaluable.

michaelhello, guess what, I contacted the bluehost support today, followed his instructions for making the domain stand alone and he had me change the index file to be named index.php and now the entire thing is gone. the data is still there on the file manager but not accessible. ARGHHHHHH.
I have successfully talked the board into another weeks time to finish 🙂 that helps my stress levels a lot. I am thinking i am going to just transfer the domain to the wp hosting service and start over. i have all the data files copied on my computer so should just be able to FTP them to the new site. Do you think that would be wise?
I hate to keep bothering you, i really appreciate your help in this issue.

michael sykes.again , thank you, I did not realize that. guess less sleep than i had even thought. Your help is invaluable, I am doing this after our webdesigner Unrepentantdesigns.com just disappeared. my experience with coding php is REALLY limited. I was a systems analyst in the military in the late 60’s and early 70’s so I get the idea, just having to learn the language and had really not planned on that. Our site is a network of people all over the world that are involved in sustainable farming, at the family farm level, and the next trick, after getting this operable is going to be a translation widget to allow them to view in their own language. We have been working on this for several years and have several hundred members on Wiser Earth that will be migrating to the site. over 30 countries. Thank you for your help, you have no idea how much this helps us get this done.

thank you so much for the reply. I really appreciate it, and you are absolutely right, the network is not enabled and Yes not much sleep for the next week, but the site is designed, basically set up, We are contacting bluehost today to make the subdomain we have been testing in to a stand alone domain, hoping that simply changing that much will help, but know for sure that a lot of work remains.
