 * I also have this issue as in this thread and the one linked below.
 * Development-wise, wouldn’t it be easy to just enable in the category taxonomy
   to have certain categories “pre-selected” in the filter on page load? Like if
   I am browsing “Women” page, and I choose “Brands: Adidas” from the filter, I
   wouldn’t have to separately “re-choose” Women FROM the filter as within this
   filter (of my dreams) it would be already pre-selected for me. (One could untick
   it, though, if wants to browse men as well – for me that would make way more
   sense.)
 * This would mean that you would have to use separate filters for separate category
   pages, however, but that’s already what I am doing anyway (I don’t even want
   to show all men’s categories and subcategories under the page “Women”.. but still
   when applying a filter it loads men’s products in to women’s view, where the
   user is not expecting to see it. As for now, I have to rely on the visitor figuring
   out that they have to re-select the preferred category in the filter and that’s
   kinda stupid)
 * PS [@themifyme](https://wordpress.org/support/users/themifyme/) I find it kinda
   funny that you forward here from another ([“closed”](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/themify-filter-does-not-work-as-expected/))
   thread for further discussion, but claim not to understand what [@wheeleran](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wheeleran/)‘
   s issue is here 😀
