Each of these servers adds information in the header fields (which are often hidden by default). This article [http://www.labnol.org/internet/email-delivery-delayed/25922/](http://www.labnol.org/internet/email-delivery-delayed/25922/) discusses how to view the the header fields and get information from them. * Using this, you may be able to determine where the slow down occurred. Nevertheless, I suggest deleting this plugin to be certain it is not impacting the site in any way. * I would also check the spam folder of the email account that is supposed to be receiving the email. * Then I would double-check the plugin is not active by confirming there is no “ Email Disabled” message showing on the `wp-admin` pages. This plugin can be used as an [mu-plugin](https://codex.wordpress.org/Must_Use_Plugins), so checking for the “Email Disabled” message is important even after you delete the plugin. * At this point if you are still not receiving the emails, I suspect the issue is not related to this plugin. I’m using a fresh install and it had the default Permalinks setting **Plain** (`http://wpcore.dev/?p=123`) rather than the more common **Post name** (`http://wpcore.dev/sample-post/`).
