 * I am back to square one. I use host gator. I tried making changes to my wp-config
file, and when I saved them the whole file disappeared. What a mess. Now nothing
   works.
 * I am getting upset over this. Here is my latest error when I try to do anything
   in my blog now.
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /home/myusername/public_html/
   wp-admin/admin.php on line 22

 * I guess I will have to do a manual upgrade, too. Some of my blogs will upgrade
and some won’t. It is really frustrating.

 * I have wanted to turn a website into a blog for quite some time now. I used the
links given here and have posted on Lorelle’s blog seeking some help there.

My main question is how am I going to transfer all the pages of content from
the website over to the blog? I used a site editor for this website when I was
a newbie to building websites so there is no FTP capabilities.
 * So to recreate the website as a blog might be a huge undertaking. It is worth
it? Here is the url of the website if it will help you to give feedback. [Click here to see the site](http://www.babyboomernewsletter.com).

Thanks for anyone who can give me some help.

 * I just upgraded to 2.6.5 and have been trying for hours to “fix it” so I can
log in. I have sent for a new password several times and nothing works. I am
hosted at GoDaddy. I have read all the help posts on the forum but this is the
one I finally found for 2.6. I have upgraded 2 other blogs hosted with HostGator
with no problems. I have tried everything mentioned in the posts on the forum
for wordpress.org, but nothing is working. Maybe I should go back to 2.6?
 * I see the 2 month old posts….eeeks…no follow-ups on those? I hope someone can
   help me.

 * Wow! I used this information today. Thank you all. I thought I was doomed to
start my blog over, but now I do not have to.
 * I could not log into my blog at all. I tried to resend the password, but then
the key or something was wrong. Something was preventing me from getting into
my blog. It was not a good feeling. After looking around the files and at the
PHP codes and not finding anything there, I looked into the database. I found
the password area for wp_user, and that lead to some discoveries but nothing
I did there could fix it and I was so afraid I was going to destroy my data base.
 * I think I messed up because I had and admin account and a user account with the
same email addresses. That was when I figured it was time to see if WordPress.
org could help me. Thank goodness for your support forum!
 * I used that Codex link and followed the steps in my Data Base, and it worked!
I had tried it earlier but did not know what M5 was. So when I saw that step
I felt that had to be what I needed to do.
 * I am not all that much of a tech person, but I know where to go for help and
   this really was very helpful.
 * Thanks! I even wrote a blog post about my experience and referenced this page.
I hope you don’t mind if I include it, but I want to be able to help other people
   in the same situation.

 * I was having similar trouble and used the link above to help me get my password
reset. I use GoDaddy hosting for this blog and it was easy to connect to the
Data Base and follow the steps given in a link in this post that lead to codex
something. I am not a techie person but by reading and following the directions
I was able to figure it out.
 * YAY.
Thanks for all the WP help.
