 * If I understand his example page, in Spanish, for the plugin, that is,
 * [http://picandocodigo.net/programacion/](http://picandocodigo.net/programacion/)
 * the author’s plugin only shows the links of posts per category in a page. The
   plugin shows navigational links transposed from the sidebar to the front of the
   page. This is good, if I want a site index page. But not good for my purpose.
 * His example page does not show a landing page, only a list of post links per
   category. Isn’t that right?
 * Can you recommend another plugin for my purpose?

 * It’s all good. Can you recommend a WP plugin for this?

 * What you are saying is the default of the WP platform if I am not mistaken–you
   said:
 * > Use the Category Widget and click on a category link and you will see a list
   > of the posts in that category.
 * I understand this and my blogs are in that mode.
 * As far as the trickery, what now?
 * > WordPress natively will present those posts–again you don’t need to resort
   > to trickery to do that.
 * It is a matter of what I want to show in my category page whenever someone visits
   a category. If I have more than 10 categories, I want a landing page for that
   SPECIFIC category to have a static post. Maybe it’s good for SEO to have a static
   page post and have dynamic posts underneath the page whenever a post is added–
   assuming I’m showing 3 to 5 posts per page.
 * All due respect, **I am not asking for an opinion** whether it’s trickery or
   not. I resent that. Your opinion is off.
 * What I’m asking for is _if the WP platform can do in a Category what it can do
   in a Front Page display–as far as a Static Page/Post is concerned_?
 * Can it be done? **Not** why should it be done?

 * Thanks for responding.
 * It is not a matter of displaying links navigation. What I am considering for
   a blog is the following APPLIED to a Category.
 * > **Using a Page as the Front Page **
   > A Page can easily be set to be your site’s Front Page. Visit the Administration
   > > Settings > Reading panel and under Front page displays, you can choose to
   > set any (published) Page or Posts Page as the Front Page. The default setting
   > shows your blog with the latest blog posts.
   > [http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#A_Page_of_Posts](http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#A_Page_of_Posts)
 * Now, instead of the Front Page, think Category. Whenever I click on a category
   link, _the landing page is a static page_ and underneath that page post are my
   new posts. So, if I have 10 Categories, I’ll have 10 _static_ landing page posts,
   one per category.
 * Is this possible?
