 * FYI:
I never updated the Sunrise file to 5.5 so went back and did hoping this
would fix my problem. It did Not fix the problem so reverted back to prior version
   for now.

 * Menu – as in a menu on a website. My menu list my Home Page, Contact Us, About
Us, etc. If you click on any of these menu pages you are not taken to that page.
As noted, when I went back to the prior version of the plugin, when clicking
on a one of those menu choices you Are taken to that page. Is this more clear
   now?

 * This issue has been resolved.
Those with similar problems read carefully:
 * as of 9-30-13 and using WordPress version 3.6.1
    The standard code given within
wordpress for both the .htaccess and wp-config files are absolutely correct.
 * After a full weekend of back and forth with checking mistakes with the install
process, my problem was with the (*) wildcard sub domain that Blue Host helped
me set up. Their hosting service supports WordPress Multisite subdomanin WITHOUT
needing any special changes for anyone, ALTHOUGH, you need to be careful when
   the subdomain is setup.
 * Within their cPanel under the zone manager section you should choose to add a
subdomain using * for the wildcard description. This is absolutely needed if
   you do the subdomain install.
 * When first seeing the screen to enter the subdomain it defaults to the Home Folder/
public directoy, which is where most of us install wordpress, so this is what
you want chosen if that’s where your installation is, ALTHOUGH, after you add
the * for the subdomain choice and if you then use the tab key to get the next
field where you choose the domain it is a sub of, the cPanel screen automatically
CHANGES the Home Floder/ public directory to WILDCARD. This is where it all goes
wrong and what my problem was. This needs to remain at the location where WordPress
   is installed.
 * See this link for screenshot of their CPanel subdomain screen setup:

 * Maybe a very simple description will help:
After the multisite upgrade I can
see my primary site which I had before the upgrade, but cannot see the sites
or dashboards of any new sites I create. They appears in the site list but cannot
access any. I only see the landing page from my hosting provider when I try to
access the site or dashboard. Any suggestions?

 * Thank you Carolina. I went through the video and found I did not miss anything
although, by adding the code via a notepad text editor, I later discovered I
did not have the opening and closing settings correct. I corrected that which
was the problem and have my Sites Icon showing and working.
    Additionally, when
I create a new site but don’t add any pages although try to view it, it brings
me to the wildcard directory at the hosting companies with a landing page telling
me no site was setup yet, which is true, so it appears I have that directory
path correct. But when I then try to go to the Dashboard I get an error and am
   directed to: [http://personal.robjsinger.com/wp-admin/](http://personal.robjsinger.com/wp-admin/)
It appears it is not seeing the rest of the path, or is there supposed to be
a folder at that location? My test site is called personal as you can see. Am
I missing another step… I do not believe I need to manually create folders for
each new site which would be a bit counter productive?
