   Thanks for posting the solution,
   you saved me a lot of time.Another tip for those who have the same issue, you
   can disable it as [@olma](https://wordpress.org/support/users/olma/) suggested
   or go to Cloudflare dashboard for the relevant website > DNS > Records, and for
   the A records – disable proxy by unchecking the checkbox of “Proxied” so it changes
   to “DNS only” and don’t forget to press on save.then try to activate the Wordfence
   free license, and then you can re-activate the proxy option in Cloudflare.
