 * I use UpdraftPlus for my site backups, including database. Luckily I had a backup
   saved from before the WordPress 4.5 update was applied to my site. I first had
   to get my website files back to WordPress 4.4.2
 * I downloaded the WordPress 4.4.2 archive from [https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/](https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/)
   to my website.
 * I was then able to perform a restore of the wp-content folder and database (using
   UpdraftPlus) that I had saved.
 * Everything succeeded and my site is back and operational.
 * Thank you all for the suggestions!

 * Well, I will check with my host then, because I did NOT initiate a WordPress
   core update.
 * Where would I find such announcements for updates like this?
    With possible problems
   included in the update?
 * Thanks for the info.

 * Yes, read that thread. My theme is having more issues than what is mentioned
   in that thread.
 * **I have about had it with these poorly planned updates.**

 * Or, if you are using a theme, reach out to the Theme Developers to get an update.
   That seems to be fixing the issue for many.
 * I wouldn’t count on WordPress fixing the issue.
 * Also, make sre you have shut off your automatic WordPress updates, so you don’t
   run into the issue again.

 * This happens to several sites since the WordPress 4.5 update. What version of
   WordPress are you using? If you are using WordPress 4.5 – then sorry to say,
   your stuck. Like me and MANY MANY others. 🙁

 * Since this God awful upgrade to WP 4.5, how do I shut off automatic updates?
   I do not want WordPress updating automatically, ever again!!!!

 * Hmmm, well – it is working now! Added the your CSS to the current CSS and it
   hides them all!
 * So, thank you! 🙂

 * CCS is still active. The problem is on my Cart page. I do NOT want these fields
   hidden on my Checkout page.

 * > Have you actually found out what the error was? View the server error logs
 * No I have not done that yet, once I have the time I will.
 * **IF** the plugin is one that I have had enough problems with that I do pay for
   support, then I will reach out to them as I have done in the past.
 * I go through this a LOT with WC, the theme and the plugins I use. This is one
   reason I wish I didn’t have WC. I know, I know, upgrades are necessary for security
   and to get up to date with society. 🙂
 * I am in the process now of trying to remove as much customization as possible(
   theme and plugins) just to minimize the amount of time I have to spend troubleshooting
   my site after upgrades.
 * And notice – I still gave WC 3 stars. Its not like I gave a bad review. Its just
   some of the frustrating things that I go through at least once a month and I
   wish I would have known about them beforehand. 😉

 * The support is terrible because this is a public forum. Troubleshooting should
   not be done in a public forum. Especially when discussing/sharing installed plugins
   and system status reports.
 * > If you can also provide your functions.php I can check for you 🙂
 * Thanks, but my functions.php file is unmodified.

 * Oh yeah, thanks for mentioning that also!
 * If you use WooCommerce, you will have to use a few plugins to make your eCommerce
   site have full functionality, like professional eCommerce sites. And most plugins
   have to be paid for, yearly, if you want any kind of support.
 * So when an upgrade is released for WC or any plugins, you usually have to contact
   support to get something working the way it was working, before the upgrade.
   Support’s usual response is “It is most likely a plugin you have installed alongside
   not following best practices.” So another reason, you should really know your
   PHP and CSS before using WooCommerce.

 * I had to FTP in to my site and replace the WooCommerce plugin folder with the
   previous version and then had to restore my database.
 * These upgrades need to be tested before being released to the public.

 * Ahhh, ok – thanks!
 * Why is this happening? I just want to be sure that my restore was completed successfully.
   It’s a very uneasy feeling when you get notifications like that. 🙂
