 * Thanks Roy,
 * If you could provide clarification, you add the 40% within the “short code”??
   I couldn’t find anywhere within adding the image marker where to add a percentage?
   I’d like to use this for one other client as she really loves the large image
   with markers on it.
 * However, my other client I ended up using “Draw Attention” which looks excellent
   on all devices and my client like the way it loads on a phone.
 * If you could clarify where to add the percentage I’d really appreciate it. Thanks

 * I haven’t seen any update for the responsiveness of this image marker. We’ve
   tried everything and we can get the image to resize but the hotspots or markers
   won’t follow in a responsive theme framework.
 * Let me know…Thanks again

 * We experienced this on all 9 of our sites that we use this plugin. I just checked
   and I don’t see the 1.2.26 plugin update? I also checked the WordPress plugin
   directory and I don’t see it there as well?
 * Where might be able to download this 1.2.26 plugin version or when will it be
   available?
 * Thanks again

 * No, actually the field name is being identified as FNAME because I changed it
   manually within the php file on line #241. Prior to that it was Name and it didn’t
   work.
 * I have “My email solutions is” selected as “Mail Chimp” and we have the correct“
   Form Action URL” set up correctly. (Mail Chimp has verified and confirmed this).
 * If we use their simple code it captures the name and email address with no problems…
   from our website.
 * We’ve changed line 241 back to what it original had before we modified it and
   mail chimp has done test on it and “nothing” is captured.
 * I counted roughly 27 instances where your plugin clients “are having issues”
   with the fields populating and merging with Mail Chimp. Although you may have
   a ton of people who are not having this issue..doesn’t mean their isn’t a problem.
   I’ve been using Ninja Pop Ups for years and I’ve never had an issue with their
   fields merging…however..they have a ton of complaints as well.
 * If you’d like to double check our work…I can give you access to our site so you
   can double check. Thanks again

 * Thanks Mike,
 * You’re right…the .9 version had a security tab but didn’t have that additional
   Akismet action. When I upgraded yesterday morning….I checked the settings again
   but forgot to scroll down farther to see the new “action” settings.
 * Thanks again for the clarification.

 * We got our approval about 9 years ago and we followed the trademark policy at
   the time – however, there was no restriction to the domain name…at least my attorney
   pulled out a copy of it and it doesn’t mention anything about domain names.
 * It does mention to not use the “W” logo/swag or wordpress name within the websites
   Logo…but nothing about the domain name or url.
 * Its also odd because I’ve had several conversations with Matt Mullenweg directly
   and my company name and direct URL are on my signature block.
 * I’ve also had conversations back and forth with the WordPress Foundation when
   one of my non-profit clients needed to use the swag – I requested permission
   as per the trademark policy for non-profits.
 * Anyhow…no worries….I’m communicating with the Foundation again…just to make sure
   I still have my exemption from 9 years ago.
 * Thanks again – happy coding

 * Thank you WPyogi – I appreciate your suggestion and link. I’ve owned my domain
   name for over 9 years now. Have been a member of WordPress.com and WordPress.
   org
 * Have posted here at WordPress.org for almost 5 years and you’re the first person
   who has ever commented on my domain name?
 * My attorney had reviewed WordPress.org’s open source policy back in 2005 and
   he advised that we were not violating WP’s policy.
 * I post free advice to WP users because its part of our company policy that we
   give back to our community for free.
 * If WordPress.org has a problem with my domain name and have never notified me
   that it was a problem in 9 years I would assume that they don’t have a problem
   with my domain name.
 * So I must be mistaken?

 * Big reason why I’ve been using your contact form for several years now….you’re
   always ahead of the game and letting us know. Every time an upgrade on a plugin
   comes out I usually wait a week or two to make sure they’re no bugs or issues.
 * I then I give my clients a heads up if there’s any issues. Happy to report that
   I’ve never in the last 4 years have had to report anything but good news on your
   Contact form. (I started using the SI Captcha about six months ago and happy).
 * Thanks Mike – a donation is on its way.

 * I know this tip won’t help most of you at this point and I wish it were different,
   but its not. I’ve been working with WordPress both dot com and dot org or self
   hosted sites for about 9 years and I’ve had my share of frustration and left
   me really, really pissed.
 * So here’s my tip that I give to all of my clients and I follow on my own WordPress
   sites. Never, ever upgrade a plugin for at least a week or two and review either
   the plugin author’s bug report or the WordPress directory Log for any reported
   bugs with the new upgrade…Or if lucky, they’re forum.
 * This plugin came out late last night or early this morning and within two hours
   I began to see issues with 2.0.0 – hence I saved 11 clients NextGen Galleries
   because I shot a warning email to them. Now I’m a rock star!!

 * I’ve been working with WordPress since as far back as 2005 and although WP has
   added some enormous upgrades and most recently the image editor enhancements…
   I wish this feature came as part of the basic install.
 * However, until they do…here’s the two fixes:
    First – You want your thumbnails
   to re-appear…..access your server through FTP and then select the image folder…
   such as 2013….right click and select “file permissions”…when the settings pops
   up…make sure you have 755 as the numeric value…and then towards the bottom, make
   sure you put a checkmark in “recursive into subdirectors”…what this will do is
   force thumbnails to be recreated or re-linked. But make sure you do this for
   each image folder…not for wp-content folder in general but each image folder
   which are usually created by Year.
 * Second – If you prefer to load them into your site through FTP…get yourself this
   plugin: Add From Server [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-from-server/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-from-server/)

   This plugin will allow you to extract the image from the FTP server and “re-load”
   the image into your media library and it will regenerate your thumbnails as well.
 * Hope that helps if you’re still having these issues. Thanks again, RC

 * I know this may sound like a “too easy to work” solution…..but I simply turned
   off the Remote Publishing setting in the Writing Options within the Dashboard.
 * I did this over 3 years ago and I’ve not seen that error come up at all for my
   site and I’ve not lost any page rank or homepage visibility.
 * Oh I’m sure you can modify your robots.txt file, or your .htaccess file and even
   modify the url but I wouldn’t suggest any of those.
 * What did I do? I disabled it because its “optional” and unless your going to
   use a desktop remote publishing client its a waste of time having it toggled
   on. I then for the sake of crawling errors set up a “redirect” by using a Redirection
   tool and then redirected the url to my homepage.
 * However, I’m not suggesting you do any of these…I just wanted to share what has
   worked for me and I’m not seeing any issues.
 * Thanks again

 * Thanks wp-digiman
 * I do get the point that premium plugins should work right out of the box. What
   I don’t get…and this is not a knock on you or Jbobw is that I’ve completed about
   47 WP-eCommerce installs and I had 2 installations that didn’t take the first
   time….but in those two cases it was the “crappy” server’s they had their WP installs
   on.
 * I just haven’t had the experience that some have with this “free” plugin as well
   as the Gold Cart, which is the premium plugin.
 * I would agree with you wp-digiman that if you’re looking for a very easy set
   up for a shopping cart..go with WP Simple PayPal Shopping Cart..and if you like“
   ElegantThemes.com” themes…all of their sites are totally compatible with this
   plugin. (Free)
 * If you want something that is more advanced and “NOT” WP-eCommerce……then go with
   the Advanced version of WP Simple PayPal Shopping Cart…it has quite a few bells
   and whistles. (One time fee $49.95 – Note..its called eStore but its the premium
   version of the Simple)
 * If you’re going for something really, really classy and extremely professional
   and a large inventory….stick with Ecwid.com….you’ll love it. ($17 per month)
 * Finally….clients who have hired me to “fix” there WP-eCommerce typically had
   another developer “customizing” functions and features and that’s where I find
   where people get into trouble.
 * Thanks again,
    Rick
