 * Trying to update;
    (a) WordFence Security Ver7.5.11 to 7.6.00 (b) UpdraftPlus
   Backup/Restore Ver1.12.12 to 1.12.14 for which a similar message returned by
   the system.
 * “An error occurred while updating Wordfence Security: The update cannot be installed
   because some files could not be copied. This is usually due to inconsistent file
   permissions.”
 * Context: Running latest version of WordPress. Recently updated site to “[https://&#8221](https://&#8221);.
   Site is located on an ISP’s platform.
 * I’m a non-tech person and do not have ready access to such expertise seeking
   assistance.
    Thanks Ray.

 * Hi Tobias,
    Thanks very much for your guidance and apologies for taking a week
   to let you know how I got on (today). Excellent outcomes achieved.
 * (a) Responsive Tables Extension. I have installed this. My perception was it
   made no difference to the scrolling, nor how column widths function in this instance.
 * (b) Column widths. I had no success with using “standard methods”. Eventually
   in the heading row I inserted an additional line and inserted hyphens which have
   the effect of forcing minimum column widths. I noted where there are unbroken
   strings of characters, as in URL’s, no line wrapping occurs – this happens too
   in “word” for instance. It was this which lead me to using the hyphens (or any
   other unbroken string). Not particularly elegant, but it works!
 * (c) Vertical-align. Yes, that did help.
 * (d) Padding. Using your suggestion resulted in a very noticeable improvement.
 * I also came across your tool to convert URL strings in to hypertext – thank you.
   This was something else I was on the look out for. I have also seen the tool
   for printing page content; in due course that too will be very useful.
 * Both tables are now published and are available as ‘child pages’ from [http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/resources/](http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/resources/)
 * Regards
    Ray

 * Hi Tobias,
    Thanks hugely for your very rapid response.
 * I agree with you about the scrolling – the fewer columns – and the less material
   in them, the less likely that would be an issue.
 * The page which has really brought this to notice is a draft page, not yet published,
   at [http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/?page_id=382&preview=true](http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/?page_id=382&preview=true)
 * There is another page, which is published, although still work-in-progress, at
   [http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/resources/](http://www.sustainabilitymatters.co.nz/resources/)
   In this case I have achieved greater success with column widths. I have not been
   able to work out why.
 * The purpose of both tables is to provide site users searchable, sortable lists
   of material about my area of interest. As far as I am aware no one who has these
   interests has prepared a list of such material.
 * Once developed I would also like users to be able to print selected material
   which they feel is of interest to them. But first things first!
 * Thanks
    Ray
