 * I’m sorry but I just can’t find that for some reason. Here’s what my file manager
   looks like.

 * I’m using Namecheap to host, and I found this [article](https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx?type=article&contentid=9410&categoryid=29&rating=1)
but when I visit my cPanel I didn’t find any .htaccess files.
 * Does it mean that I don’t have them since I’m using Windows? If so, do I just
copy the index.php files and ignore the .htaccess files part?
 * Thanks for all your help, really appreciated it.

 * I’m stuck on the 4th steps where I need to copy my index.php and .htaccess files.
 * 1.) I’m using FileZilla and have checked for show hidden files but I can not
find any .htacess files. Where are they located or do I not have them? Or do
I not have created them? I’m not entirely sure what they are and if I’m supposed
to have them or not. I’m using Windows and using Cpanels.
 * 2.) “Copy (NOT MOVE!) the index.php and .htaccess files from the WordPress (wordpress
in our example) directory into the root directory of your site”
    I’m not sure
where it means by the root directory of my site. Do I just copy the files into
my public_html directory? Or the www directory?
 * Thanks for all your help.
