In reply to: Deregistering jQuery in the theme throws warning in admin areaI guess I didn’t understand what the hook meant, I thought the message was referring to
wp_enqueue_script()
function for adding new scripts, which I was already using in that code, hence the confusion. Thank you for the clarification.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] address-i18n.js overrides custom labelI’ve found solution for the problem above. The script ‘address-i18n.js’ replaces certain fields with default values for a certain locale, so custom overrides must be made on default fields using the
woocommerce_default_address_fields
filter, like this:function custom_override_default_address_fields($fields) { $fields['address_1']['label'] = 'my custom label text'; return $fields; } add_filter( 'woocommerce_default_address_fields' , 'custom_override_default_address_fields' );

In reply to: [Strong Testimonials] View background does not apply in custom templateMeanwhile, I suggest adding the view background style to your theme stylesheet directly.
Yep, that’s what I did. Thank you for the response. I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for this excellent plugin, I love it.

In reply to: [Strong Testimonials] View background does not apply in custom templateYes, I do use
wp_footer()
, the layout and functionality of testimonials works fines, I only have issue with the background color, for some reason that inline style is not being applied.I replaced shortcode with the function you provided. However, everything is still the same. May be the plugin applies inline style through some function that I lack in my custom template? It is based on underscores starter theme, and included header and footer functions. May be I should add something into
functions.php

In reply to: How to make wp_enqueue_scripts generate relative path?Yes, but how do I make
wp_enqueue_style
andwp_enqueue_script
generate <style> and <script> tags with relative urls instead of absolute? When I pass relative url to wp_enqueue_style/script it comes out absolute. For example:wp_enqueue_style( 'my-theme-style', get_theme_file_uri('/assets/css/theme.css'), array(), null, 'all' );
generates this tag in the <head>:
<link rel='stylesheet' id='my-theme-style-css' href='http://mysite.test/wp-content/themes/mytheme/assets/css/theme.css' type='text/css' media='all' />
What I’m looking for is to make it generate
href
with relative url, like this:<link rel='stylesheet' id='my-theme-style-css' href='/wp-content/themes/mytheme/assets/css/theme.css' type='text/css' media='all' />

In reply to: Does html mark up matter for wordpress functionalitySorry for not being clear as to which theme exactly I’m using. I use Underscores.me starter theme, so it is just a basic framework for further customization, not a ready-made theme, but it still has some preset markup and I was wondering if it was safe to replace it entirely.
Peter Hardy-vanDoorn’s answer addressed my concern. Thank you all for the response.
lorro, Hannah S. thank you for the support. I’m looking into the suggestions and trying to make it work.
