It’s a know issue introduced since PHP 7.3 which will be fixed in the next release. I just need to find some time to have it fixed and released.Forum: Plugins

Reading your description, it seems you have a HTML / CSS problem which is probably template related. Some templates can’t handle widget areas that are or become empty.
