 * yeah, you know what, that’s funny, because they sent me here in the first place
🙂 . And they’re probably right, because on a WP-only install the same problem
   occurs.
Why not focus on the question, please? The question is irrelevant to
the theme, url, wpmu or whatever, the question is:
 * Is there anything that can make the comment button be disabled other than having
   disabled comments for this article?

 * What relevant information are you missing ?
I use a theme ( Taft, if you need
to know ) that uses the default template from the default themes for its comments.
It is possible to post comments with the default theme, not with the other one
where the “post comment” button is disabled.
 * The reason why I didn’t post the theme or a link is that it’s irrelevant to the
   question which is:
 * **Is there anything that can make the comment button be disabled other than having
   disabled comments for this article?**
 * But if you really need to see one, here it is:

 * The version of WP is 2.x running under WPMU. I have 20+ themes with comments
working, but this one just doesn’t, and I don’t get why.

 * nobody ?
at least on this question there should be someone who can help me:
 * >> Are the content of comments.php preg_replaced somewhere in the code ?
