 * Thanks for the reply Steve. Where is that utility in phpmyadmin?
 * Here is the interesting thing. I did the repair and optimize database option
   at [http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/maint/repair.php](http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/maint/repair.php)
and it came back with a bunch of errors, including the last ones I pasted in
   OP.
 * But when I re-load the site now its working.
 * I just tried a second site and ONLY did the repair this time, and the site still
shows error establishing database connection. I do a repair and optimize and
the site will load, after errors.
 * So it seems I can get the sites working again, but I’m worried there’s a bigger
   issue?

 * The first thing you will want to do is to clean your current site. The best way
to do this is by starting fresh. While this might seem like it’s a lot of work
it’s not too bad and it can be done rather quickly. You will still be able to
load all of your posts etc from the database. You can follow this guide which
walks you through all of the steps which are broken down nicely.

 * Once your site is back in working order I definitely suggest that you look into
putting a lot better security measures into place.
