 * I have exactly the same issue as of today on a new site build.
    Is there a solution
   to this problem? I have a brand new Braintree account and all is working fine
   with credit cards. But with PayPal Braintree activated in plugin I get that same
   error message as the payment page loads. And no PayPal “pay” button visible,
   only “pay” button when credit card selected. [https://eurobrands.co.nz/product/test-product-2](https://eurobrands.co.nz/product/test-product-2)

 * My web host was very helpful and provided a solution. The mail from the form
   was being sent from the server email address rather than my email address so
   Gmail was rejecting it.
 * The solution in case it’s helpful:
 * in cPanel you will need to go to “Select PHP version”
    Then, change the version
   to a non native version so, 5.3 instead of native (5.3), and press the Set as
   current button Then, there will be a link in the top right to configure php settings
   you will then be able to change the mail.force_extra_parameters setting You will
   want to change it to [-fnoreply@yourdomain.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pulpink/replies/-fnoreply@yourdomain.com?output_format=md)–
   and press apply (and Save at base) …which will resolve the issue.
 * With this set up I can now use a Gmail address as the recipient of the CF7 content.

 * I’ve just had the same problem after doing a test to myself. Seems to be exactly
   that – changed gmail as recipient to another email and it’s working now.

 * Yep, that’s it. Working: [http://binstock.com.au/monumental-masons-advice/](http://binstock.com.au/monumental-masons-advice/)
 * I had my ISP give me some code for the .htaccess when setting up this account.
 * I’ll have to get them to revise it.
 * Thanks a lot!

 * So when you’ve done a new install there should be a home page (right, obviously).
   Hmm, seems something hasn’t installed maybe.
 * Checked – there’s an index.php file in the root folder.

 * Don’t know if this is related – I just had same error (using CPanel) and I activated
   MySQL and it loaded fine. It’s as if it can’t create the database.
 * Hope this helps in some way.
