It seems I didn’t understand the difference between the account and user page. After putting the form on the user page, it now works. You are a godsend!

I did the conflict test using a new test WordPress site with just the UM plugin and the latest default WordPress theme and the “update profile” button is still broken. Any other possible thoughts?
