Thank you for your reply.
I reset the email address by changing it to a different one and back, and emails are now being sent from the correct email address. Whether this solved any issues with customers not receiving emails, hopefully time will tell.
I am concerned though about the email address mixup and how it wasn’t visible in wordpress. (Caches had been cleared.)

The email to send from is set correctly in the settings. But the emails that customers receive come from a different email address I used during testing in the staging environment at some point. We are not using an SMTP plugin at this point.
About 25% of customers do NOT get their order confirmation email, so this is a problem.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Wooc. + Stripe plugin: Can’t put in credit card informationThank you, Nate! We resolved it yesterday, but differently (I had forgotten to set the URL in the staging site’s wordpress to https – that fixed it).
I will keep the mailchimp thing in mind for later, I’m still in the process of switching all the plugins back on, I know there are a couple more conflicts ahead to resolve 🙂

I can now enter the credit card information and go through the process!
The Stripe dashboard (https://dashboard.stripe.com/payments/) shows that the payment succeeded.
Should we keep this thread open until I report back tomorrow after switching the theme and plugins back on? Or should I create a new topic in case I run into any more issues?

Thank you for helping me figure this out!
I configured everything according to https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/ and just went through one more time to double-check.
I also read through https://stripe.com/docs/ quickstart page, wordpress plugin page, and random other pages.
I can go back and forth between test mode (where the field is displayed) and live mode (where it isn’t).
