In reply to: [Really Simple SSL] Not working on multisiteI gave up looking as domain mapping only really work well if the add-on domains are placed in alias in Cpanel but the lets ecrypted SSL doesn’t cover those and my host says there is nothing they can do to make it work so I have change into using just sub-domains in multisite and redirected my TLD to it although it’s not what I want at this time I have no other choice if I want to move on as I have wasted enough time on this.
None of the SSL plugins have help either at that’s cost me a fair bit of dough just there alone as they say they work on multisite but what they don’t say is they only work with sub domains and not alias as they can’t over-ride the SSL provider settings,, so that was a waste of money as they don’t want to refund any of it. Spending more on yours I feel wouldn’t be any different as you all do pretty much the same thing.
So over all I found out that for multisite to work properly on a shared server with a shared IP address,, Don’t use domain mapping, stick to sub-domains.
I still have option to change it anytime if anyone has a fix or if can afford a dedicated server one day in the future.

In reply to: Multisite Super Admin issuesTried to install Jetpack as well and it breaks my site as well and when it doesn’t the page is also blank.
I installed MS using Sub-Directories as my option,, wp is installed in the root directory and I am using Domain Mapping.
Thought I mention all that so as to help solve the issue.

I wasn’t trying to be mean and just because I saw it in a different light or way to you doesn’t that I was being mean.
@joyously At least yo where polite about your response and have taken your response on board and based on that will apologise if anyone was offended as my English isn’t that perfect and may sound like I am to forward at times, but nothing is said with the intention of being rude.
I’m flagging your account for moderation, which means all new posts will need to be approved.
After all the years of using wp not doing anything wrong on this form your telling me I am flagged because what I wrote sounded worse than it was intended to.
Don’t you think it makes more sense to delete that post and ask me to rewrite it as that would be the mature thing to do in public forum. Like I said it wasn’t my intention to offend and I will be more careful in the future.

@ipstenu No Problem! as I didn’t know but had an actual thread been found in the search when typing the words WORDPRESS BUG OR WORD ISSUES instead of 50 unrelated topics this wouldn’t had been there to begin with as I spent at lease 30mins looking for something relevant and that post was the closet I came across.
it’s not appropriate to post in alpha/beta and you should post in the Fixing WordPress forum:
It’s also not appropriate that such a supposedly well known forum has such a crappy relevant search feature. I didn’t design it I just waste my time trying to use it.

What Your saying does make sense but we then should be allowed to filter/refine our own searches then to save us time as continuously coming across 4 month out,, 6m, 12m, 2yrs, 5,yrs the other day 9yrs,, It just gets worse not better.
Question: Would you install a plugin that says it hasn’t been tested on your version of wp and risk damaging files,,
I am not the one making these messages, they happen because developers don’t update them thus WP NEEDS to find a more acceptable way of having these updated by there creators or not have them show up at all on properly Updated WP sites.
It’s bad enough we have to deal with plugins that are updated and don’t work but yet they expect you to spend money on PRO versions when the free one doesn’t work, Don’t you think?

Although this works in hiding the sidebar it doesn’t make the page full width which means there is always going to be an empty space there that can’t be accessed.
if the page is taken from a post page then why can’t your plugin create a post page so that is can be edited by us instead of people paying money for a product that can’t be worked on making our sites unusable because of these pages.
I would also like to add that your plugins setting tells us we can create a page and place the single listing shortcode into it which would presume that thee should be some sort of page control but yet this page we create is useless because your plugin pulls the single page from sitename/directory which doesn’t exist even though the page we created is the designated selected page within your plugins settings.

I would like to change the colour of the page titles which I am using as category titles as you can see on my page.
Also as I presume the Add Site shortcode is only available with the pro version which I will get soon and I see no category page/search options or shortcodes for such,
When a user from front-end adds a site and chooses a category will that site be listed according to my categories on this page, I know the answer to this one (it is NO) because I am using the page title as the category name.which leads me to my question about this:
1) is there an Advanced search page or a searchbar which can be placed above the links as displayed on my page.
2) Can the actual category be listed as the category title in the same way I am listing the page titles.Cheers

As I am here about the locations category, there wouldn’t be some sort of csv or DB file which would have a complete list of countries/states/towns etc etc already written out ready for download would there. When your dealing with so many countries/cities etc that’s quite a bit to write out.Cheers

Tried to get to work but no go. I have converted everything to iframes as that’s the only way I can get to appear where I need it to be in the pages.
I don’t really like using iframes but it seems I have no choice atm.
Thanks for your help.
I am working on improving on these shorthcode scripts and I can get the basics to work just need more understanding of the atts etc and how to use them correctly.
