 * Account activation email is set on (green) as well.

 * The mail is only sent to the admin that a new user registered but the verification/
   activation mail is not sent to the user.

 * Thank you for your reply. But as mentioned in my initial question I’ve already
   setup SMTP successfully but it’s still not working. Additionally I’ve set up 
   an Email Log Plugin but no email is sent/logged when the registration form is
   submitted.

 * Thank you for your quick response. I’ve updated the Registration Default Role(
   require email activation was already opt in) but the verification email is still
   not sending.
