Now you only added the Administrator role. It would not be that difficult to add roles to the list or choose another one, custom roles included. I guess many people would love such a feature. That the deafult situation. * In the current situation the typed-in category seems to do nothing at the time of creation, it is not even in the list. Just after a reload of the post page( in the editor) the new cat appears in the list, but not selected. * After disabling Yoast, everything works as it should. The SEO plugin involved is Yoast. I deactivated the plugin just to test this issue. Since Yoast updates appear very frequently I gues this problem will be solved soon. * But it is not 100% sure if Yoast is causing this, the Clasiic editor could also be the source of the conflict.
