 * [@esmi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/esmi/) … What are you talking about?
   Perhaps if you were to read my post you would see that I *didn’t* ask a question
   but offered possible solutions as I *was* having the same problem! …
 * And if you had read it properly you would have seen that I *did* post my own
   topic ( now resolved ) ?… How can trying to help be improper or impolite?
 * [@jmaynar](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jmaynar/). Apologies, I looked
   for a way to reply to esmi offline according to my understanding of forum protocol,
   but couldn’t find one 🙁
 * What fixed this issue for me was to edit the .htaccess file placed in the subdirectory.
 * Rewritebase /subdirectory/
    …. …. RewriteRule ./subdirectory/index.php ….
 * Hth,
    Peter

 * I’m having the same issue and have also posted just a few threads earlier, ..

 * I suspect it’s something with 3.4 as I have previously had two instances of wp
   running locally on MAMP. I suspect that the path is stored in the DB, … not sure,
   not an expert but keen to find a solution. Will keep trying and post back.

 * Thanks for the quick answer. The domain is [http://lcrecordings.com/](http://lcrecordings.com/)(
   3.3.2) and I’ve installed another WP instance (3.4) in [http://lcrecordings.com/enoch/](http://lcrecordings.com/enoch/)
 * Click on any button and it will open the page up in the parent frame. I’ve got
   a similar local set up using MAMP on Mac, and this works fine so was hopeful
   it would be the same 😉
 * hostgator sounds very useful will give that a try, but would first like to make
   sure root is correctly defined. Wondering if I need to define the Path somewhere
   in wp-config.php or is there a string in the DB I need to tweak?
 * many thanks,
    peter
