I can confirm [@marcizus](https://wordpress.org/support/users/marcizus/)’ s fix works. I just updated a dev site today and all the divs turned into li’s so was a bit worried! I noticed that the “Begin a footnote” and “End a footnote” settings had reverted(?) to double brackets (( and )). Warning persisted in troubleshooting mode with all other plugins off. Was able to resolve by enabling Memcached, then adding the “Object Cache 4 everyone” plugin. A separate staging site was not affected as already had Memcached enabled. Unfortunately the add-on broke the site – WSOD. Due to a host of reasons, the site is stuck (for now) at WP5.0, PDB 1.8.4.9. Would it be possible to obtain a version that works for that?
