  • Thanks for the suggestion, @fistfullofcrisco. I remember that problem from the first time I ever installed W3TC and it was the community build I eventually used that fixed the problem. Too bad the official build went and broke things again. The only reason I didn’t go with this patch is I’m afraid the files may get overwritten in the future if the problem still isn’t fixed.

Thanks also, @timeassistant. I made this recommendation work. Although it was a little tricky as the WP Admin and therefore W3TC settings pages can’t be reached with the 500 error. So I commented (#) out the php_flags in the htaccess file so I could access WP Admin but with every page switch/load W3TC would overwrite my comments so I had to keep commenting out the flags every time. At first I saw the Security Headers were already set to “Leave as is” and didn’t think this would work. I tried switching them to “Disable” which produced even more php_flags, but then tried switching them back to “Leave as is” and this finally removed the flags!

I hope W3TC fixes this problem. I’d imagine lots of people must be experiencing this.

    Thanks again!

offset=”1″ appears to do what I need.

Thanks, the help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

I had to go with your recommendation in the end as I found the shortcode I was using to display the thumbnails didn’t work inside [events_list]…[/events_list] shortcodes.

    Okay, I think I found a workaround.

I’m using the Toolset Views plugin to resize and display the featured image by placing the following shortcode in the Events Page formatting section. Thankfully it appears that placeholders are parsed before shortcodes so I’m able to pass post ids to the shortcode…

    [wpv-post-featured-image size=”custom” width=”300″ height=”200″ crop=”true” id=”#_EVENTPOSTID”]

Wow, that’s fantastic! I look forward to the update and it’s greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again!

Ohhhhhhhhh okay. I was thinking the size settings merely controlled the display of the images and thought if I set both width and height I’d get distorted images. But the settings are used when generating the actual thumbnails and crops them to that set pixel size/ratio which works perfectly… duh. haha

    Thank you, sir!

    Awesome, thanks!

    Thanks for replying,

Yup, I tried setting the height. The image height is currently set for 170px but as you can see at the link above they are all different heights. It seems that once their width reaches the sides of the container the image can’t get any taller… nor would you want it too unless the image width could exceed the container and be hidden/cropped.

Actually, it’d be nice to not only be able to remove all links, but to also be able to apply a single link to all items if desired.

For example, I’m using this plugin to display a few sold real estate listings along the bottom of some pages. I want to remove the individual post links because the posts don’t really contain any information, but I’d also like to apply a single link to all items… such as linking all items to a page where I display ALL sold real estate listings.

    Thanks again.
