Thanks so much for your reply! The previous version (and indeed the upgrade) do allow modification of fonts and I use the standard Google fonts for WP plugin to handle these. I have always been able to apply Alegreya (in my case) to the entire blog, including the title and baseline in the black box. Curiously, although I apply these fonts to the “Branding” in “Modify theme”, they simply will not apply. On the other hand, these fonts do apply normally to menus and text in pages. So it is clear that there is one little change somewhere. I am using the latest version of WP, and the latest version of your theme. True, not a life or death situation, but I have always appreciated being able to apply this font throughout the site for consistency (it is part of the graphic ident of my company).
