 * Hi Amanda,
 * Here’s how you do it. Once you’ve logged in, on the LHS menu go to Genesis – 
   Theme Settings. Scroll down to the Content Archives section. In the select drop
   down make sure the ‘Display post excerpts’ is selected rather than the Display
   post content. If you’d like an image in your recipe index then check the ‘Include
   Featured Image’ box and the relevant size of the image.
 * You also need to add in a little bit of code to customise the appearance of the
   index. To do this go to [this link by Sara Greenlaw](http://learncreatelaunch.com/how-to-create-an-image-recipe-index-for-genesis-wordpress/)
   and add in the code in the location indicated.
 * It should all work fine once both of these are done.
