We installed the “WordPress Simple Firewall” Plugin yesterday and since then, we’ve noticed these IP addresses below in the logs for failed “admin” logins. (“login_failure” “Attempted user login by “admin” failed.“)
I’m sure there will be more IP addresses today and every day from now on. But every single one of these failed logins to our admin area is all with the username “admin”. This has me wondering if there’s automated scripts that scan websites for the “wp-admin/” in the URL’s and attempt to access the administrative area of the websites’ WordPress with the standard username, which is “admin”.
I have tried to change our admin login URL with no luck with many plugins, so we’re making sure our backups are daily since our website is a business website.

That was FAST! Amazing plugin! I changed my rating to 5 stars. For some reason it wouldn’t let me when I was in the office.
Wow…I’m an idiot…. The drop down is hidden behind images when I am in the “Add Media” popup. I have this same issue on another WordPress site. I happened to notice a weird line behind the first (top left) image, so I clicked on the line, and a drop down appeared.
Please note I am at 100% browser view, and am using “Karma” theme that we purchased via ThemeForest.
I don’t know if anyone else has ever had this issue, but I am on 2 different websites. I have also tried other desktops in the office and all are the same. There are no “CSS” edits for any Admin areas either.
I wish I could change my rating to a 4 Star…..but I rate 4 Stars.
I have been looking for a while for a plugin to keep all of our images and videos organized without having to pay for the Plugin, and I have to agree with Dymskiy also. Just for my companies website, we have over 3,500+ images (not including videos), and organizing them is great and everything, but, the “Filter on categories when inserting media into a post or page” is the whole reason of organizing images into Categories. NOT just to “View” the Media.
I agree with Dymskiy and Rulatir on this one.
