 * Maybe **Disable the visual editor when writing** is checked in your profile, 
   I’d check that first. Hover over **Howdy, user** and click on **Edit my profile**,
   Visual Editor should be at the top.

 * Did you extract installation package to the root directory? Or is is located 
   in WordPress directory inside your root directory?
