We’re sorry if you felt our WordPress plugin didn’t live up to your expectations but I wanted to address your concerns about our use of data. We do not make any use of your data or your users’ data beyond wat is required to serve the application to them. On our end we use rigorous security standards to protect our user data. We also do not share this data with any third parties.
Additionally, we have a free plan which any client is welcome to use for as long as they like.

We just noticed this review on our app and we wanted to touch base and address some of the points brought up.
First and foremost, PeerBoard is an independent community building platform.
On WordPress we have a plugin that enables you to load up a community that provides a seamless experience for your site visitors and has all the functionality that you would expect from a modern social tool. Additionally, we have a free version of the application that anyone is welcome to use for as long as they’d like.
To address the point about data, we do not extract any data beyond what is required to serve the community to you and your site visitors (community members.) Further, PeerBoard does not share user data with third parties and applies rigorous security practices to protect our user data.

Hey Knotty! You caught us right before we were going to roll out a better freemium plan. It is live now and you can have a fully functional community for free! We included private content, invite-only option, Zapier, plugins (including WordPress), widgets and more into the free version. Only more advanced features and customizations are on our paid plans now. Hope this can make you change your mind – and please email our support if you’d like to switch to the free plan!
